What LandClearingDB is
LandClearingDB is a free public directory of land clearing and forestry mulching contractors across the United States. We cover major metro areas in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Alabama, Kentucky, and Arkansas — with more states being added as we grow.
Our goal is straightforward: when someone needs land cleared, they should be able to find local contractors, compare Google Business Profile ratings and review counts shown as-is, and request a quote without jumping through hoops. We're not a lead-generation marketplace that auctions your contact information — we connect you directly with the contractor.
The directory is maintained by a small team focused on clear scopes, useful local context, and accurate operator details. Standard directory listing is free. Featured placement is a paid partnership for top placement, is labeled on the city page, and does not change the organic sort below Featured.
How contractors are sourced
Contractors in the directory are sourced from public business data, including Google Maps listings, state business registries, and industry databases. We focus on businesses that actively operate in the land clearing space — companies that list land clearing, forestry mulching, brush removal, or related site-prep services as a primary or significant part of their business.
We manually check new additions for directory relevance using available public information. This is not an in-person inspection or a check of licenses, insurance, reviews, or work quality. Businesses that appear to be in unrelated fields — paving, tree trimming only, equipment dealers, or landscaping with no clearing capability — are not included or may be removed during periodic audits.
Ratings and review counts displayed on listings are sourced from Google Business Profile data and shown as collected. We do not independently verify, filter, or adjust these scores or counts. They may differ from the current Google listing if it has changed since our last data update.

Unclaimed listings are included because they may be relevant to your project; directory inclusion is not an endorsement. Listing is free. The paid Verified plan lets a business claim its profile and unlocks phone, website, map pin, quote emails, and a badge. The badge indicates profile and paid-plan status only; it does not mean LandClearingDB verified or endorsed the business, its ratings or reviews, licenses, insurance, experience, service details, or work quality. How ratings and reviews work
Ratings and review counts displayed on contractor cards (e.g., 4.8 ★ · 112 reviews) are sourced from Google Business Profile and shown as collected at our last data sync. We do not independently verify, filter, inflate, or weight them.
We do not currently host our own review system. If a contractor has no Google rating or fewer than a handful of reviews, their card will show a low or zero count — that reflects the public record, not our assessment of the company. Some newer or smaller operators with excellent work simply haven't accumulated a large public review count yet.
Contractors that have claimed their listing can request a review count update if their Google profile has changed significantly since indexing. We do not allow contractors to request removal of low ratings.
How listings are ordered
Within each city page, contractors are sorted by the following factors — in this priority order:
- 1. Featured placement — A paid partnership for top placement, clearly labeled on the city page. There are a maximum of 5 Featured spots per metro.
- 2. Claimed profile — Businesses that claim their listing through the paid Verified plan appear before unclaimed listings. This is a plan/profile status, not a quality or review endorsement.
- 3. Google review count and rating — Review counts are considered before ratings. These Google Business Profile values are displayed as-is and are not verified by LandClearingDB.
Listing in the directory is free, and we do not sell organic sort below Featured. The paid Verified plan allows a business to claim its profile and unlock contact/profile access; it does not mean we verified reviews or credentials and does not buy organic ranking. Featured is paid and labeled.
Accuracy and updates
Business directories go stale. Phone numbers change, businesses close, and new operators launch every month. We conduct periodic audits to remove non-operational listings and update contact information, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is current at the moment you read it.
If you reach out to a contractor via LandClearingDB and find a number is disconnected or the business has closed, please let us know — we'll remove or update the listing promptly.
Cost estimates shown on city pages (e.g., "$1,200–$4,500 per acre") are planning ranges derived from contractor market data. They are guides, not quotes. Your actual cost depends on your specific property, vegetation, terrain, and the contractor you hire. Always get multiple quotes.
